Don't panic!!! it will probably be about 2 weeks before the eggs hatch in her mouth. If you look closely you should be able to see the fry whe they have hatched. Then you can put her in a tank until she spits them, or strip the fry from her yourself into a breeding trap or other tank (do a search for how to do this, its not hard). They wil get eaten in your main tank though, if you leave her in the main tank and you want to try and save some fry, make sure there are loads of hiding places. If you move her to another tank be careful not to do it too soon as she may spit the eggs.

Chill,

Mark.

hi
thanks for all ur help and comment. sorry to post a few to many times.unfortunately i came home from work yesterday and there doesnt seem to be anything in her mouth anymore.... and ive searched around the tank and theres nothin. has she eaten them? the only fish that ever hasles her is the male zebra and i noticed he was chasing her still when she did have the eggs. really dont no what to do now...should i just leave it and b prepared for next time?

thanks once again

james

Some of my fish get it right straight away, others take 3 or 4 goes before they get it right. I very much doubt if she ate the eggs, but if they feel uncomfortable/stressed or are inexpirienced then they do spit the eggs and the other fish go nuts for them.
