Hi, I'm new to forums but have been keeping tropical fish for about 4 yrs. My gorgious pet angelfish started to breed. They moved the babies from the filter case to the plants and tried to guard them - but they all got eaten :( I put a slate in so next time I could move them to a small tank asked at the lfs, who gave me some yoghurt type fry food and offered to take any spare survivors - they all died again, so I bought a booklet and some brine shrimp eggs, hoping a couple would survive and go back in with mum & dad - this time they all lived!! but when I went back to the shop, a different guy was there and said they don't take fish off the public! So now what do I do? I can't just kill em so I've been doing my best to care for em with daily water changes and now they're a couple of months old and the tank is full!!! I don't know anyone else who keeps fish. I don't just want them to die as they're lovely and quite tame and I'm sort of attached to em, so I'd like to find em good homes. I tried ringing all the local shops from the yellow pages but no interest. They range in size from 5p to 50p and are yellow and black and white, with an orange/pink patch on the gills. Anyone interested? Free to a good home.
