hi can anyone help
i have 10 tiger barbs in a new tank one of the barbs is constipated
any ideas on what i should do??

dose with epson salts not sure on the dose though, hopefull some one can sujest.

If you want to go the epsom salt route, start with 1 teaspoon per 10 gallons. Increase by a teaspoon daily to 3 teaspoons per 10 gallons.

Exactly what behavior/symptoms are making you think they are constipated? I noticed you have a new tank, and Tiger barbs are very sensitive to poor water quality. When ammonia or nitrite are present, they go nose down and become very inactive, and sometimes get pale.

How big is your tank, and what are your water stats?

I ususally find (as pre-mentioned) peas and Daphina do the trick - but it maybe more serious than constipation

Is its scales sticking out at all? What has led you believe one of the barbs is constipated?
