Help With Stocking The Naughty Boys Tank

I have a couple of male black mollies who I moved from my community 155l tank to a 48l tank as they were harrasing one of the six females in the main tank.

The tank looks a little empty with just those 2 in at the moment so I'd like to add something else to it. Ideally I want something different to my main tank (silver mollies, zebra danios, cherry barbs & panda corries) & something that will be happy in a PH of 7.8 & hard water.

Any suggestions?

Hmm, when you say " Harrasing" , you mean ? Males will chase females, because they constantly want to breed. Which is why you have 5 other females. For they main tank, are looking for cichlids, pleco's, livebearers, tetra's?

Yeah, the boys were looking to get jiggy but only with 1 female who they chased constantly, completely ignored the other 5 females. In the end they were stressing her out so I decided to move them to the "monastry" as the wife calls it.

I don't have any strong preferences for what goes in the 48l with the boys, just looking for some suggestions. I'm still a relative noob to fish keeping.

Will tetras need a mature tank?, it's only been up & running a week (with a mature filter from an established tank).

Tetra's need a mature tank. I would put the males back in. They are probably messing with the other females just as much. As far as fish go, you might want to google Apistogramma Cacauoides ( spelling?). There are colorations such as " Orange Flash", " Double Red ", "Double Yellow", ect.
