Any ideas of central or south americans are welcome

I had a few ideas of either a shoal of 5-6 angles with some preacox rainbows
a pair of sajicas or salivinis with a synodontis petricola

any other ideas pleaseee :)

What are the actual dimensions of the tank. I believe the salvinis need a larger tank, at least 200l, sajica's seem to need 100l so one is ok not sure on two. Wild sajicas need ph 6.8, synodontis catfish being a tanganyikan species need ph 8.2. If tank bred you may get away with the ph as at the shops.

Whether you could have angels in the tank (even if you just keep a pair) depends on the height of your tank. For angels you need at least 18" from the top of the substrate to the water line.

Can I point out also that your severum is going to need a tank of at least 200l as they can grow to 20cm.

Hope thats helped

In hopes for them to pair off I would go with 5 Juv angles :)
Edit
forgot to mention depends on tank measurements and if you would be able to move the pair out or not and what would happen to the other angles

why not go for a centre piece fish like a sajica then add a shoal of fish that you like and then couple of pictus
also the preacox are a good idea i have a nice shoal of 6 and they are wicked fish

If you go down the route of a pair then this will be the entirety of your stocking, dithers and catfish will not be tolerated by most cichlid pairs,

options for pairs are:

Sajica
Honduran Red Points
Firemouths
Spilurim
Rainbow Cichlid

options for dwarf cichlids with dithers and catfish

Blue Rams
Bolivian Rams
Keyholes
Apisto sp.
Nannacara sp.

My dimensions are 40.5 x 18.5 x 12.5
I was thinking of having a centre peice fish, and like the sound of a sajica, but its near impossible to find them around here. Only ever seen one shop that had them.
