My female angel lays eggs every 11-12 days like clockwork.
She has probably laid eggs several times now and last week I noticed the male chasing her around the tank
at night nipping at her. 1st time I noticed this behavior.
Anyway she laid eggs again yesterday and eating fine but I noticed her pectoral fins are a bit whitish color like a fungus or something.
Anyone know what it may be? She hovers over her eggs fanning them constantly, and both the male and female protect the area.
The Male's Pectoral fins are fine
No real aggression in my community tank that I can tell.
No problems that I can detect with any of the other fish
I added an airstone the other day just for some more arrigation.

65 Gallon Tank

Fungus generally appears as white and fluffy. If the fin is not fluffy but looks more cream in colour then it is probably excess mucous. This can be brought about by poor water quality or the fish is producing more mucous because she is breeding. Discus and Uarus feed their babies on mucous secreted from their body and on rare occasions some angelfish do as well. It could be you have a female that is producing mucous ready to feed her young. But check the water quality and make sure it is fine.

I listed my Water quality above, I dont think that is the problem. The readings above have been the same for 3 months or so since I cycled this tank back in March/April.

Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate- 10
PH- 7.4

These readings have been stable for a long time now. I will have to keep an eye on her, maybe it is mucus or something.
