Help With Sick Gourami

My blue gourami's right eye is puffed up and red. It's really big and looks like it's going to pop. It also looks like part of the bottom of him is missing... there's a big spot that's gone on each side. He's not swimming and just staying in one spot. I'll try to get pictures later. Please help!

it sounds like a bacterial infections. Make sure the water quality is good, the filter is clean and runnign properly, and the gravel is clean. Then treat the fish with a broad spectrum medication.
