Help With Redoing My Malawi Tank Please

I have just started to redo my malawi tank have striped it and put egg crate on the bottom of my tank its coving the hole base of the tank i have then put the rocks in on top of the egg crates with out any sand in the tank is this right ???
or shoud i put a bed on sand under the rocks first ?


please help fish waiting to go back in !!#

no sand under the rock or digging will capsise them

all done looking good BUT yet to master rock layout lol

heating up at Min at 22c at Min so not long to go then fish in and sit back a relax cant wait hate stripping tanks back and start over with them
but my mind is at rest now the egg crate is in them the rock don't move as much now and I have a yellow Malawi that loves digging
don't know its name off the top of my head !!!
