Maxijets are good pumps. SH
While I agree SH, maxi's are very hard to fit pipes to attach a sump return line to, and probably aren't suited as far as their pumping capacity as well. Great recirc, but not great sump returns
Fish this: While I can make some blind reccomendations, if you can give me some ideas of your project I can help narrow your choices...
What size is the sump?
Has an overflow method been decided upon (hang on box, or drilled tank)?
If so, what type is it and what is the diameter of it's outlet tubing, and/or what is it's rated flow capacity?
What is the approximate vertical distance between the pump inside the sump to the top of the water level in the main tank?
Will any UV or Ozone sterilizers be ran on that line now or in the future?
What is the extent of your DIY or mechanical aptitude (from, dont know the business end of a hammer, to machieshop specialist or somewhere in between)
Getting the right sized pump for a particular sump is critical. Too much pump and you overflow your display tank. Too little pump and your filtration will be inadequate
