Hi everyone,

i have just purchased the hydor advanced co2 system. however i am really lost as to the levels i shud be putting into my tank. Currently i have a vision 180 with reflectors on the t8 lights.

heres a picture of the two guages and the pressures set at the moment. ive checked the ph level with a drop checker and its at about 7.2 (as have a ph buffer powder thing that sets it that way) however i turned the dial too much and it shot up! so did a water change and added the ph buffer to bring it back down to ensure the fish wudnt drop dead!!

Can anyone point out where would be optimum levels to input into my tank on the pictured guages. I would be very grateful for any help as this damn instruction booklet has baffled me completley!

also i will eventually move to a refillable cannister but cant find one suitable yet so if anyone has any ideas which suit this system also wud be grateful but mainly if someone could point out where the needles shud be on the guage! thatll be the biggest help.

Thanks

You need a drop checker to measure CO2 levels, it will show:

blue - low
green - perfect
yellow - high

For now you could test ph, kh and refer to the CO2 table in my sig but it isnt as accurate. Use the needle valve to change the amount injected and a bubble counter is a good guide to see how much you have changed it.
