ok i have put in plants well they been in 4 a while now but they seem to grow real fast upwards but there not fanning out or spreading  wot am i doin wrong :/ All the pics on here look great i want my tank like it :X

What type of plants do you have? If they are stemmed plants you can prune them at the node to help them grow bushier. If they are rosette type (grass type) you probably need to enrich the substrate so they send out runners.

:) hi wot are stemmed plants? And wot are nodes?
Sorry i stupid i dont have the grass type though would like to get some!

Nothing stupid about the question. Please feel free to ask.......

Stemmed plants are plants that have stems (like the normal plants you see in gardens, I guess :) ) Nodes are the joint where the leaf meets the stem. So if you cut the plant just above the 'node', it will grow new leaves at that junction, thus branching out. Easy peasy.
