Help With Nitrite Colours

hey guys what it mean when you get a water reading that is unmatchable to the colour chart.. in this case the test is for nitrite but the colour is a bright purple not the dark purples that are shown on the masters test kit.

? please help i dont know what the nitrite readings mean

More than likely a reading that is off the scale, if you're fishless cycling you'll have concentrations that are out of the range of the test kit. As 1Mg/L of Ammonia is converted into 2.7Mg/L of Nitrite.
