HI there, I have recently bought a new fish tanks 180 ltrs everything seem to be find but am struggling with high ph, sitting somewhere between 7.4 and 7.6 have 2 male guppys, 6 neons, 1 molly, ammonia is 0, nitrite is 0 , nitrate is 0- 5.0 and advice on how to reduce the ph or will it take its course in time?

thanks sparks

Hi Sparks,

Firstly, welcome to TFF. :hi:

Dont worry about your PH. So long as it is stable and not fluctuating up and down, 7.4 - 7.6 will be fine for 99% of fish.

A stable PH is much more important than having the correct figure. Please don't be tempted by PH adjusting chemicals, as they only lead to trouble.

I have mollies, guppies and neons in my tank and the PH is 7.5. No problems at all because my PH is stable.

Hope this helps. Any more questions, just post them on and someone will be delighted to help.

Cheers.

BTT
