Help With New Fish Tank

HI.

I have a new tank, given to me. The problem is, we cannot work out what size filter, pump, heater etc

The tank dimensions are:

6 ft long
2 ft depth
2 ft tall

Help please!

Depending on stocking, I would go for 2 external filters (or 1 big one like a FX5). Don't know what you mean by pump (if you mean air pump then thats different) but I only use a pump for sump returns (if you use a sump, I wouldn't have an external - but you could if you want). You will need atleast 2 heaters I would have thought (one for either end of the tank -I have 2, 300 watt heaters for a 90USG tank (and yours being a 180USG - I would personally go for 3 - one at either end and 1 in middle).

What stocking are you thinking of, if go lightly you could get away with less filtration.

Its 680 Litres.

not sure on stocking yet. But was thinking about 2 filters, internal one on either side, and 2 heaters.

but what size filters will i need, as i cannot work out how many litres per hour i need
