Help With My Tetra

I have one tetra in my tank that has been sick for literally months. I think he has lost the function of his swim bladder for some reason. Any idea what would cause this. He is really small and skinny and really fights to swim. The weird thing is he is still alive!! After months of living like this he just won't die. None of the other fish have contracted his disease, so I don't know if its bacterial or fungal. Maybe genetic???

What type of tetra is it, remove him from the tank it could be fish tb, or internal parasites, what it look like when the fish goes to the toilet, also parasites like velvet can cause weight loss.

He dosn't sound right and you are putting the whole tank at risk, to be honest he dosn't sound well, so leave it up to you.
