hi i recently brought 4 swordtails and only one of them is acting odd. i wont swim and if it does it isnt for long, it seems to just hide, why is this i am really worried thinking my fish is sick. i only have the 3 other swordtails and guppies in my 10G tank please help me

Swords to like plenty of space and 4 in 10l is not much space at all, how many males to u have?

How long have u had them then?
Could be stressed mainly from the move and then from lack of space.
Do u do regular water changes?
Do u test ur water quality? if so what reading's do u have?

If you done treat them soon you could easily lose the fish so once u answer the questions above then we should be able to help more.

hey thanks so much for replying and i made an error i have a 10G tank which is approx 40 L in response to your questions::

1 male to 3 females (male is sick or the one that is acting this way)

Had them maybe 2 days now

Changes once a week

Water is Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0 and nitrates 20

please reply :D

10G is not to bad, sounds like it's stress from moving them, these fish are shipped all over the world from Singapore so they are quite severily stressed by the time they get to shops (could of been bagged and transported up 3-4 times over the last 5-10 days).

I would get some live foods to try to encourage him to eat better, live blood worm is great for this or daphina.
Then do a water change as well.

well still do another water change, thats what i would do.
