Help With My Hoplo Catfish

hi
ive got an hoplo catfish about 5 inch and allso ive just got some new bn plecs they are 2-3 cm
i was told that the plec would be fine it`s all ok at the moment, i dont think he`s eaten any ?
not that i can tell, the plecs have loads of hidin places what the catfish cant get to anyway
but should i take the plecs out i dont want the cat to eat them.

From CFC's post in the fish species index: Hoplo Catfish, it seems that they are not as voracious of eaters as many other species of cat are. They may still be small enough to be viewed as food, but just keep a watchful eye and if you see the hoplo following them around the tank, just take them out to a holding or quarentine tank for a few months until they grow to about and inch or so, then they should be fine :good:
 
the hoplos should be fine with fish that size. Hoplos have small mouths designed for sucking up worms and small bits of food. A 2-3cm bristlenose just won't fit. And hoplos are pretty pleasant natured fish to.
