Hey all,

I have a 60l tank (about 15 gallons) - its a fluval uno 600.

At the moment i have the light that the system comes with = aqua-glo 15w T-8

I am very keen on having a tank well planted, is this light powerful enough? And also is it best to get alot of plants at once, or slowly like how you stock fish?

Any help would be great,

thanks, mike

That only gives you 1WPG.
You could grow low lighting level plants in that, but if you want a variety of plants your probably find some need high levels of light. 2 WPG. But then you need CO2 injection.

Planting lots (50% or more surface cover) is best. The plants will out battle algae for nutrients and you should have an algea free tank.
