Help With Ich In A Cold Water Setup

Hey guys, i have a cold water setup, and one of my goldfish has ich, las time ive treated with salt and raising the temp in my planted tank with no problem, but in my cold water setup i do not have a heater, ive been treating just with salt. and 50% water change! do i need to raise the temp?

What harm can it do?

I've heard from a cold water fish keeper that raising the temperature (not very high though) just gives the fish more energy?!

raising the temp is to speed up the cycle, will it be ok not to raise the temp since i do not have a heater
