So, purchased a sanyo SX25h DVD player a while back, thinking no worries will find the unlock code on google, can I find it? Can I heck. Can find it for the SX25 but not the 25h.

So anybody have one of these players and know how to unlock it to make it multiregion let me know the code pretty please, cause Ive got r1 DVDs I cant watch anymore

  1. Turn main power ON.
  2. Confirm that “NO-DISK” was displayed on the display panel.
  3. Press the ‘Display’ control key on the remote control. Select ‘Video’.
  4. Input the password “1,3,5,7″ using the remote control.
  5. The confirmation screen for the version of the firmware should display.
  6. Change the region code (between 0-6) with the “up” or “down” key of remote control, with “0″ is region-free, and “2″ is standard for Europe)
  7. Finally, press the ‘Display’ control key on the remote control to confirm choice.

You can get dvd codes on amazon co.uk but they charge 3 pounds.

I have 3 dvd players and want to change the codes but don't know how to do it lol.

Tried is several times last night, when you input the numbers the confirmation screen doesnt come up, in fact nothing changes, usually you get the region code bit come up (least it has on other DVD players Ive unlocked) but nothing with this, just stays the same. But thanks 5teady :good:

You can buy dvd with any code region you press a switch on off or something.
What the point of buying any region dvd when you can put a code in your old ones for any region.

Also read that your tele has to be nstc or something for them to work with the dvd region.

I'll have you know Im not fury at all

Ok the television would have to be old for it not to play any region.

Television Compatibility
If you're thinking of purchasing a multi-region DVD player with the intention of play non-UK discs (i.e., non-region 2) do be aware that if you plan to watch them on an old television they may not play in colour. This is because UK televisions output a PAL signal and other countries output an NTSC signal. Without getting too technical it's all down to the signal frequency and the amount of frames per second each standard plays--PAL and NTSC run at different rates. This isn't an issue with new televisions as most of these are "multi-standard" and are capable of displaying both PAL and NTSC signals in colour.

If you're unsure about whether your television will output an NTSC signal in colour, our recommendation is that you purchase a DVD player such as the Yamada 5520 that can convert an NTSC signal to what is known as Pseudo-PAL or PAL60. This basically converts an NTSC signal into a modified PAL signal--although it won't work on all televisions. If your television has multiple video input connections, you may find that NTSC is only possible from one video input--consult your television manual for more information on this.
