Help With Demasoni Sexing?

Hi

I have got 4 demasoni in my tank and wanted help sexing them. I see so much conflicting information on how to sex them. For example :

Males have spots on anal fin

Males have different shape fins

Males have more black in the stripes than blue


I really want to identify what I have. Ideally I want 1 male and four females. Its a 30 gallon tank with dual filtration and plenty of rocks/caves for them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as dont want two males killing each other!

sorry i can't help sex them or anything (no idea how) but it might be an idea to add some pictures for peope to see- they may be able to sex them for you as well as explaining the differance

Having troubles taking pictures as they love the caves I made for them. Will they relax over time and swim around more. THey swim around when I am not in the room but as soon as I come in they run to the caves!

Grab a stool or a 5 gallon bucket and sit down in front of the tank. They will warm up to you sooner or later. Also ive found feeding to be the best ice breaker

I think the only way I can accuratly sex them is by venting them. Any one got any good guides to this?
I have heard the male has 2 equak size holes while the female has one much bigger than the other?
Do I look before or after they last lower fin?

Demasoni males and females look identical. Unusual in Mbuna.
The only way to accurately sex them is by venting.
