hi i have a 2ft tank with

2 black mollys
1 dalmation molly
2 endlers
1 red tailed black shark
1 common plec

can i add to this tank if so what with and how
many more

Hi
It depends on the rest of the dimensions, is it a standard 2x1x1 ?
It is likely though that your RTB shark will outgrow your tank,
This is also definitely the case for your common plec which can get 12 inches + depending on species

Common plec is a definite tank buster. They grow pretty rapidly and get way too big.

The shark is also probably going to outgrow it.

yeah m8y dont wana seem harsh but that common plec will soon outgrow your tank so you had better have a think what you will do when it does (ie) bigger tank or trade it in
scot :good:

The RTBS will outgrow a 2 foot tank, as they can easily grow to over a foot. I have personaly seen them at 13inches

The Common pleco will get to between 12 and 18 inches when full grown, and will grow real fast to 8 inches, so you either need to be purchasing an upgrade round about now, or finding a friend with a 4X2X2 foot tank minimum for it in the comming months.

Without to two fish above, you would have about 10 inches of adult fish. You have 13 galons of water (well 13.3333recuring :shifty: ) so for the first 6 months, 13 inches of fish is you limit. Another molly or two would be good, particularly if you have 1-2 males ATM, as the lone or pair of females will be pestered by the male(s) to breed. The aditional female will take some stress away be spreading the burden on the other female(s).

After 6 months you may get away with a few more, but considering the other fish, I'd leave it at that.

My Priority in your situation would be to sort out the RTBS and pleco :good:

Sorry Rabbut but the RTB shark (Epalzeorhynchos bicolor) will max at around 6inches in size, do you not mean Bala Sharks (Balantiocheilus melanopterus) which do get to 13inches ?

Even so a RTB shark will need a bare minimum of a 50G to house it long term.
