I went to feed my fish this morning and I have found this on most of my cardinals, no other fish. They seem happy, no strange behavior or anything out of the ordinary. Does anyone know what it is

Whitespot/ich, please do not double post.

Can I treat this in the tank with other fish, or do I need to isolate them?

Just treat the whole tank. They will have it. Or chances are. Becuase if you can see it then its spread all over.

Just get the whole tank treated. and they will be ok :)

You will need to treat the whole tank: the medication can only kill the parasite when it is in the free swimming stage (so is in the water, not on the fish). Do be aware that some species can not handle whitespot medication or salt, so check if all of yours can.

Deffo Ich! Treat the whole tank as other fish may get infected.

Sorry to jump in on your thread jkilby, but my Herlaquins, out of them all two have ONE silver sugar grain size spot on them have had it since they was baby size. They are all fully grown now and never gained more spots or lost them.

No other fish have had white spot in the tank either... strange
