After seeing lots of good things on here about bettas, i was thinking about setting up a new tank and trying my hand at breeding them, what is best to get for these fish..

Tank size etc?

And is there any useful info i need to know?

Thank you.

Wayne

I don't mean to be rude but have you ever had bettas before? Breeding Bettas is much more difficult then breeding live bearers there is much to consider and prepare for when breeding bettas. If you haven't had bettas as 'pets/friends' yet then I would suggest getting use to that first that way you know the basic care and understand more about them.

In the pinned topic FAQ there is info on basic care and if you want to start learning, breeding.

I am very willing to learn as much as possible about the fish before attempting to breed them, also when i feel i have enough info on them, i will purchase some and see how they go before once again attemting to breed them,, its not something i will be rushing in to as like i said, i want to learn as much as possible about them first.

Yes When i first ever got in to fish many years ago, i had 2, they died within a week but i lacked experience not just with the fish, but also the hobby altogether, not long after i gave up the hobby then a year later i started back up again breeding livebearers.

Going good since but not had any bettas, thats why i think its best i learn first. :)
