I've just noticed that an extra cherry barb has appeared in my tank, At a gues I'd say it's around 10mm long, not sure how long it takes to get to that size but im guessing atleast a few weeks. It seems to have managed by itself so far but do they require any special care or do i just need to keep an eye on it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Based on the estimated size can anyone advise roughly how old it might be?

I hadn't set the tank up to breed the fish, but accepted that they might (although my lfs said there was no chance), I have 2 males and 4 females (5 now). Ive read that the adults will eat the eggs, is this true and if so is this just a lucky one that survived or should I be expecting to find more in the near future?

Cheers

Marc
