Before you consider breeding them, figure out what you are going to do with 300+ angels. With 4 angels I think you have somewhere around an 87% chance of having at least 1 male & 1 female. Sex can't be determined until they spawn and breeding tubes are present.

And after 30+ years keeping tropical fish I now discover that Angels (Pterophyllum scalare) are Livebearers.
You learn something new every day. :p

If you want to know about angels spawning and breeding there is a pinned article in the new world cichlid section which should be of some use to you.

I was always told that to sex angels you have to look at they're tails, the males have a fine elongation at the top and bottom on they're tail where as the femails dont. I found that way of sexing to work as I once had a pair of angels about (8 years ago) which did spawn a couple of times in my community tank but they kept being disturbed by the other fish and so ate they're eggs!

In the end I decided to get rid of the angels as they weren't what I wanted in my community tank after all they had a tendancy to bite the heads off my young platy's when I released them in the tank!

Hope this is of some help to you
