Hi everyone,

I'm totally new to keeping tropical fish and have bought a 180litre tank. I have introduced 2 small black Angle fish and they are getting are staying in the top corner of the tank. Every now and again the bloody Red tailed Black shark chases them.

Is this normal or do I have to separate them?

Any help would be fab.

Cheers,
Andy

His the Red tailed Black shark fin nipping the Angle fish? I had 4 Angle fish about 2" with a tank full of molly`s and guppy`s and 2 hours later the 4 Angles was dead.

Baby angelfsih and a shark
Take the shark back, i'm no expert but in my LFS they had put a few different gourami's in with Red tailed Black shark and none of them had any tail fins left and where being chased constantly,
Your local fish shop should have green / yellow / red Dots on the picture name badge of each fish on each tank , this shows from calm to aggressive.

thats only my 2 cents.
i dont think baby angels would be quick enough to get out of the sharks way so they are hiding, tell me the angels are not black . uh oh ..

Again i'm not an expert but i would say your shark is the problem, they are very aggressive and get worse with age due to wanting to defend their teratory, i would re-home him/her if possible.
