Help With Abusive Male Platy

i have a tank with an even number of girls to boys and i have a problem with the domiant male pecking at the other male(was domiant at one point) how can i stop this behavior, the picked on fish is not looking good he is missing scales and looks stressed, i want to put him in a safety net to have him recover... hwat else should i do?

Hiya,

You should really have more females than males, say 2/3 females to 1 male - might help to lessen the aggression and give them dominant male something else to focus on.

Take him back to your lfs, I had the same problem with one of mine, sometimes it's just their nature, and it makes life miserable for the other fish

im getting them to live in harmony again, former dominant is getting elderly thats wy hes stepped down from his throne, thye used to swim together nicely all the time(i thoughtt they were homosexual lol) they used to ignore the female all the time and play with each other...
