on wednesday i bought my first (again) live plants. started with two big and healthy melon swords and two un-id swords.
those un-id swords are the ones in question. they are not amazon or melon swords as i've kep both. they have long stems, spade-shaped leaves at the end. the leaves are much longer and narrower than an amazon's, as well as being much pointier in the end. the have a clear vein going through the middle of the leaf and the texture is very coarse, so that you see all the little veins and ridges much better than on an amazon. at least right now, it's all green. no red or flowers.

i know that's not much to go on, but any idea what sword it could be? or a good website that can help with identifying plants?

thanks :good:

it is hard because all echindorous species are alike!

better off with a pic...

my water's still hazy from the gravel change, so i can't get a spectacular pic right now. here's the best i could manage
