Hi guys,
I'm into my second week of whitespot treatment in my 180l tank introduced from 2 rams added a fortnight ago.
I'm using Protozin whitespot and fungus treatment, and after the first week of treatment I saw that it had not shifted so after a water change I continued the meds.
However, it's jsut getting worse. I've lost 5 of my neons to it, and two of my Torpedo barbs have contracted the disease in the last day. I'm worried now for the rest of my stock - I don't want any more to die.
Stats:
Ammonia = 0
Nitrite = 0
Nitrate = less than 10.
There's no carbon in the filter - Fluval 205, pads on the left. Polishing pad on bottom tray right, followed by two trays of ceramic media.
Temp has been increased to 28.5 degrees - slowly building to 30.
Any thing else I can do. I lost my entire stock from my 60l to this a couple of months ago after my neighbour very kindly over medicated the tank, poisoned the fish and killed the filter bacteria (she's a fish keeper so I expected better).
