Hello
My male guppy is alive but laying on one side. he is moving around the top and did have a go at breakfast this-morning but I think this is it. Is there anything I can do, he isn't being harrassed by the others (only two other male guppys) but should I leave him in case he makes it or shall I put im to sleep! This is really upsetting, any hekp please?
Thanks

Need more info. Nine times out of ten its to do with your water. I would do a 25% water change and see if he perks up.

Just posted this in your other thread...

Urgh! Are there any other symptoms you can post?? Any abnormality in mouth/tail? Any scales protruding? Does he ever right himself?? How fast are his gills moving? If you have a test kit, do a water check and post the stats...If he's eating, thats a good sign, but if you can get some more info up, might be able to help more....Water change would be a top idea....

F&I B)

Hi, Havent got a testing kit but have just done a water change. Put hands in and he swims better in my palms in shallow water. No sign of damage at all, just cannot straighten himself!! AM at a loss! :-(

Sounds like a bacterial infection if he layed on the bottom of the tank laying to one side, i would get some liquid test kits, can you issolate the fish though the bacterial med might be to late.
