since we put the fighter in his own tank our community needs something to replace him, anyone have any suggestions. current stocking

You might want to try some sort of dwarf cichlid like:

If the tank in your signature is yours, I'd get some orange or red fish, like platies or mollies. They'd look lovely against your plants! You could also consider a dwarf gourami. They can be a bit nippy though, especially in a smaller tank. I'd totally go with a red or orange fish... oh! And a few more cories to keep your current ones happy! Even one of both breeds would be nice.

didnt think i could put any more corys in? is there room for 2 more? i know they should be in groups of 4 or more. was suposed to get a biger tank to sort it out but had to put that off for a bit.

This is my opinion, but you could easily add 2 more of both species. I'd found that cories don't attribute very much to the bioload and it won't look crowded because they hang around the bottom. I have 20 cories in my 30 gallon, along with a large number of other fish, and they don't get it in the way. In fact, they would love you if you gave them more friends. The more the merrier!
