hey guys and girls.
my fiancee's female betta tank has done considerably well in the last couple of months. haven't had a death in a long time and most have their fins in great condition except for two that seem to get the bulk of the aggression.
water quality is fine. there are plenty of plants. the tank has been established for months.
with that in mind...one of the females, one that looks to be fully grown VT yellow female has grown a tumor-like bulge on her side. no stress lines, her fins arent even nipped at all. the majority of the females are eggy and so have bulky sacs on their underside, but i noticed she had a third one on her side. it's been about 2-3 weeks now. she eats and behaves fine. no extra aggression nor extra shyness/depression. swims fine, eats fine, behaves regularly.
still, i'm sure that tumor-like bulge on her left side is NOT normal! it looks as if it's full of water or air...looking through it, it looks to be empty or filled with something clear. what is it? how can we treat it? is this terminal? any other info you have? thanks!!!
i dont have a picture at the moment, i'll try to get one with my phone and upload in a bit...thanks!
