I had my hand in my tank and the plastic insulator out when i accidentally broke a tube shattering it and many of the shards landing in the tank. I am particularly worried about my julli cory. What should i do?

id just like to add that im fine as the breaker tripped immidiately

remove the fish

this could be very dangerous!

make sure you are okay, remove fishes and have a look for any glass...

you might want to consider a new substrate; thats what i would do if it was alot of glass

good lcuk1

will it be ok to leave them in the tank for a night? i dont have a quarantine tank so have nowhere to keep them.

Ohh ok Fluorescent tubes contain Mercury vapor so not sure what effect (if any) this could have on your fishes? Maybe do a couple of 50% water changes over next few days or so to be safe?

i would move them into a bucket or some kind of tube with the filter and heater and the same tank water, this way there will be no glass for them to shard themselfs up......i know this may stress them but if they decided to try and "eat" the glass i think that would stress them more....good luck man

Here is what i would do

Move your fish to a large bucket with tank water and filter and heater then do a huge gravel vac (preferably a gravel change) and a 100% water change.
