in an aquarium shop today, i was shown to a tank with fish about 4cm, and i can't remember the name he said they were! the females have red stomachs, and the man said that when you have a pair, they are very likely to mate, and they section off part of the tank, and when the babies are big enough the female takes them on a 'tour' around the tank! it would be brilliant if anyone could come up with names of the fish these may be, as i have no idea! sorry i can't give a better description!
thanks!

Kribensis look exactly like them! Thankyou so much, and thankyou Aqua Tom for your suggestion!
cheers guys x

No worries. Lovely fish, very pretty, very enjoyable to keep. Also surprisingly peaceful, good in community tanks, even when spawning.

and brilliant, thankyou for the advice! :) i'd like to have a pair, i've heard that breeding them is particularly easy and rewarding!

Yeah, supply them with some form of cave. And feed them. Water helps. And if you can manage these difficult conditions, they'll more than likely breed.

The only things are try to avoid keeping them with other bottom dwelling cichlids, as they'll argue over the same cave.

water is sometimes helpful indeed! :) and i dont plan to have any other chichlids, so that'll be okay! :) thankyou for the help! i'll let you know if i get a pair! :)

thankyou :) i'll be sure to ask if i have any questions! :)
