help there has been a massive fight!

my feather fin syno has just attacked a large bristle nose the bristle nose lives in a small tube and the syno just grabbed him out and chucked him over and chased and chased him i couldnt beleve it the syno has all ways been placid!!! what can i do?

Oh dear not good ! Do you have a spare tank to put your BN in ?
You'll need to check that it's not developing bacterial infections due to injuries. As a longer term solution you might have to rehome either one of them by the sounds of it (I suspect your Syno - as he might go for some of your other fish during the night).

do you have a spare 5 gallon bucket? I would say you need to isolate the attacked fish, or the attacker.

How warm is your house? How big is your main tank? Would it be possible to float the bucket in the main tank?

about 20c its only a 50 gallon i spose i could float it if i take the hood off lol

The more water you have in the bucket, the deeper it will sink. So it will help you get them lower. What fish do you have in there, any jumping risks?

Is it possible to rig the lid so it is covers part of the tnak?

Try a divider. I keep pre-cut ones made out of eggcrate sized to fit my different tanks. You can never tell when you may need one.
