Help slow my filter down !

ok i have a bio-wheel 350gph filter and it is swirling the tank a lot. i never noticed it until i got the new plants and they keep moving a lot. so there is no time to search about my filter and i dont have the instruction thing so i cant look it up ! so i need help on reducing the amount of flow this thing puts out. any help would be great !
