My six line wrasse (pajama) has not shown his face today, hes usually out and scouting the rocks as soon as the lights come on in the living room. I have checked all the open spaces and shone a torch into the gaps in the rocks, but no sign.

Should I now dismantle the rock work to retrieve the body (if its dead, which I assume it is) so that the body does not polute the tank, or will the cleanup crew have 'cleaned' it already, as they did when my perculas died during a white spot outbreak? I have roughly 25Kg LR and 5Kg other rock.

TIA

Jon

Has he come out yet?

That happened with my firefish once and I thought for sure he was dead. Thankfully though, he was just sleeping in and came out later.

In any case, I would be more inclined to not disturb the rocks, corals, inverts, etc and leave it in there but keeping close watch on the ammonia levels. At the first sign of an ammonia rise is when I'd think about actually getting any "remains" out of there.

If I'm wrong, someone please feel free to correct me

6 lines will hide under the sand if they feel threatened.

Give it a couple of days. They can jump too so be sure to check the tank and see if its dropped down the back of the tank.
