Hi i have a sick clown loach as of yesterday, he is secgtioned off from the rest off the tank in a birthing chamber to reduce stress (havn't got another tank), tried searching everywhere for the symptoms but have found nothing. They are as follows, lethargic, struggles to swim, laying down on side, off the food, rapid breathing. Other than them he looks fine fins seem fine and so does colour and skin but could be early days. water quality good, water change three days ago temp 80c. Also have 6 neon tets, 4 corys, another 2 clown loachs and recently 6 red fined sharks in a 40gal tank all are as usual charging around.

Please help i have no idea what is wrong and can't stop spreading till i do

Thanks

dont really have an answer, but thought id let ya kmow, ive had three clown loaches and they all went like that, and poor blighters died on me, apparently they r very fragile fish and notice every change!!!! fingers crossed someone can help and ur clown loachie lives on :(

Sounds like a bacterial infection to me. Does the fish have any noticeable red marks?

and btw:

6 red fined sharks

That is a the perfect recipe for disaster. You should rehome 5 of them IMMEDIATELY as they will turn that tank into a disaster area sooner rather than later.

No marks at all, no clamped fins perhaps the stomach a little bloated but difficult to distinguishh through glass and it lying on his side could just be pushing it out

Sounds like a bacterial infections, but not good if he's laying on his side as they do that when they are on the way out.
If you wan't to try and save the fish you will need a bacterial med.
