hello, i have a large shed with a gas heater and the shed is insulated and i am using way to mutch power with heaters so i thought i might convert the shed into a tropical heat room, can someone please tell me a few tips?

Insulation is the key, the better you insulate the room the less it will cost to heat. The best insulation to use is foil backed polyurathane sheet, 40mm thick sheets will give adequate insulation on a timber frame building. Once the sheeting is fitted seal every seam and any gaps with foil tape to insure not heat can escape.

yup i know that one mate, i have already insulated the room B)

You're well on the way already then. I use a 2000 watt oil filled electric radiator to heat my 180 square foot fish room and will use the same one for the slightly larger fish house when i eventually get the tanks moved.

would a gas heater be cheaper to run?

I couldnt tell you to be honest, it would depend on your energy prices and the performance of the gas heater.

I keep my room at around 28c and the tanks sit at around 26c
