Can anybody help me, I have had a RTBS in my aquarium for a few months now, and up until recently it has been fine and there have been no problems with it, but recently it has stopped eating, and it is beginning to really shrink and its stomach is becoming quite hollow looking, I have tried putting the shark in my hospital tank and feeding it in there incase its tankmates were beating it to the food. I have tried every kind of food, it had been happy eating anything before and was quite a scavenger, it has no other symptoms of illness, it still has its beautiful colouration, the water parameters in both the hospital tank and my aquarium are stop on as I carry out regular maintainence. It is now just lying on the bottom of the tank barely moving, it doesnt have enough strength to swim through the current that my filter is creating and it ends up getting blown into the glass. I dont have any idea what I can do, I love this shark, its beautiful! Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Chris

Sadly he lost the strength now and even a med is to late.
Does sound like internal parasites, though can mean others thing what you are describing, what it look like when the fish went to the toilet, is the anus red and inflamed.

Do the eyes look to be bulging out and does the fish have clamped fins? Sorry but your fish may not make it. Try adding some salt to the hospital tank ( a salt bath will help with stress and help restore the fish body fluids to normal) then try feeding/adding a parasitic treatment.
