;) Hi I am getting a 128litre tank and need some help with the pumps etc, would a 200watt heater be ok? And a fluval 3 filter? Air pump I havent got a clue? Looking at few items on ebay so a quick response would be cool! Cheers all :D

Hi!
Based on a quick google of how many gallons are in that amount of liters, it looks like it's about 34 gallons. The general rule of thumb is 5 watts for every gallon, and that means that you'd need a 170 watt heater. SO... the 200 watt heater should be okay.

Not sure about the pump and/or filter, etc. but I do know about the heaters :)
Hope that helps!

I am plased BettaMomma knows about heaters cos I don't, but I may be able to help on the air pumps.

I just bought an air pump a few weeks ago for aereation and a novelty shark my son seen in the lfs!!

What do you want the air pump for exactly?

Thanks! I want the pump just for bubble effect and more oxygen in the water. I will go ahead and bid on some items , thanks

P.S Would fluval 4 be ok just that someone once told me that her filter sucked in all her neons, im guessing its the size of it? But i have tetras and wouldnt want that happening, so what u reckon fluval 4 ok? As thats the 1 i want to bid on?

I put two Fluval 304 filters on my 75 gallon and love them so far. They are ultra quiet. Depending on the money you want to spend, you might want to check into the Hydor Inline Heaters. I put those on also and they work great. The water flows right through so you don't have to worry about where to position the heater to get water flowing past it.
Air pumps can be very noisy at times. If you use live plants, you may not need aeration as the plants will create quite a bit of oxygen. If you do get an air pump, check out the Rena pumps if they are available in England. They are also extremely quiet.
