My pregnant female who was floating round top of tank this morning is now a red/pink color and is lying on her side.
She can swim but isnt moving much and one of the other fish have been eating at her tail.
Ive put her in a breeding net just now but what should I do.
I dont want to lose any fry if I can help it cause Im pretty sure she is dying.
Help pleaseeee

Sorry to hear about your female. She sounds a bit like mine was today only the tank mates didn't nibble mine, but showed interest in her when she stopped swimming around and was on her side.

Mine had fry stuck coming out of her and didn't make it. I hope yours has a better outcome. Don't really know what to suggest

don't know how much I can help, but wanted to respond as I know how aggravating it is when not a lot of people do.

-check out your water parameters immeadiately.(pH, nitrite, nitrate, ammonia, temperature)
-ask yourself a few questions like "when was the last time I did a water change?" and "have there been any recent illnesses in the tank or dramatic fluctuations in temperature, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, or pH?"

I know you most likely already know this and/or have already taken care of it, just figured I'd throw it in there. ;)

-what color is your molly usually? (referencing her red/pink color now)
-check out number 4 first, then maybe skim the rest of this page:

-she is safe in the breeding net from the other fish eating at her tail, right? Good move, if she could, she would thank you.
-this is another very helpful post from the tropical fish emergencies page.

thank Phantom_Thief, as he is the author.
check out numbers 3, 17, and 18.

hope this helps. Unfortunately, I have little advice I can give you. Just these suggestions. But don't worry, there are a ton of people in this forum who have been fishkeeping for years and really know their stuff. Good luck, keep us posted on how things go.

she is normally see through.
and the red/pink looks like shes bleeding inside.
water peramaters are all fine and did a water change during week

:( :rip:
Im sorry to say she died.
I sat watching her and when she died took her out and tried to save any fry but they were all dead.
