ok, as many are aware. I'm currenty cycling 2 tanks, one fish in and one fishless. Just been on holiday for 4 days. I know my main tank hasn't cycled yet, as I got back to ammonia levels of .5. 80% water change done.

Now the real question is, could I move my ruby barbs to my 50 litre as they are nipping my angelfish.

Sh*t as we speak she has just finished eating and now on her side. Both of her side fins ( not sure on correct name) have been eaten. One right down to the stub.

Ok change of plan, should I move my anglefish into that tank? Also anything I can do o help her? I think she might be dying!!

Probably better to not move an injured fish, move the others until someone who knows what to do can help....I think injured fish get attacked more.....

Yeh that makes sense. Ok posted in emergencies. Just filling my fishless tank back up from doing a 100% water change on it

I don't see any "experts" browsing the Emergency Forum yet. Maybe try a Private Message to one of the forum leaders there?

Ok. I have moved the rubys into the small tank for now. Dora our angelfish( it could be a male though) is swimming around now after a but more food, I thought it was strange that she was hiding as normally she is in the middle of the tank. Hopefully she will recover. I will keep looking t her fins for signs of infection. I've got melafix, would that help?

Just found my bottle of Melafix, it works on injured fins, use it! Take out your carbon if you have any!

Ok, I'll check that's what I've got, then I will use it. Thanks very much for your help kiss. Guess now my fishless cycle has now turned into another fish in cycle. Great. 2 lots of daily water changes

Angels are very good at repairing themselves, especially the fins. If you can move the attackers from the tank and provide good clean water, plus some food high in protein, the angel should be able to repair itself depending on the severity of the damage.

I have myxafin. Not melafix. Hmmmm I won't use that until and "expert" says it's ok.

Ok. Yeh I have moved the rubys from the tank, i think they are the attackers. So what do I look out for in ways of infections and what should I treat for it?
