Hi all its been a while since i was here. But i need some help i am changing my filter in my set up to a TetraTec EX700. I have a jewel Rekord 600 which is 62l of top of my head lol my tank is a low light set up and i want to make more room and replace both Internal filters i have in my tank.I was hoping to turn the water over in my tank min of 8 times a hour would this be fine for that. Also Can i place the filter media in to this to help set ity up or do i need to run it along side the ugly black box for two weeks?. And the other thing i wanted to know is could i use the jewel heater which sits in the ugly black filter box, or would i need to get a new 100w heater? Thank you guys
Jon

Yes and yes.
Theoretically you get get 11x the volume of the tank turned over every hour.
The heater will work fine, finding a heater bracket with suckers on would be better to hold it in place rather than dangling it.

Thank you thats great i've just added something i forgot to say before. Can i just place the filter media in to the filter or do i have to run it side by side with the ugly black box lol> oh one more thing how do you get the ugly black box out of the tank lol

Place what you can from the Juwel filter into the external filter and you should be fine.
I hear the juwel filters are secured via 2 blobs of silicone. It's just a case of getting a Stanley knife, slide it between the glass and the box, try to cut through the blobs. Some tugging and wobbling should see it out. Careful of the silicone holding the tank together.
