can u guys help me identify my fishies and also tell me if they are nest builders...cause i think they are since they dig in the sand 24/7 its cool to watch

1. i am yellow with black vertical lines

2. i am a very beautiful blue with 2 yellow dots on my anal fin

3. both of us are yellow with black horizontal lines approx 2 or 3

4. i am yellow with very very light black vertical lines

p.s. sorry my camera doesnt focus very well on the fish...but i think there okay?

i think the 3rd one is a melanchromis auratas and i think the others are peacocks but cant id them.i have the same problems with id.

i thought the 3rd was melanochromis auratus i was basically certain but i wanted to make sure...can anyone else help me with the other fish?

cant Id the rest cuz their TOOOOO blury

here we go another try

1. yellow with very light black lines...and also the other blue with 2 yellow dots on the anal fin
notice the difference in the mouth

2.yellow one with light lines again

3.yellow with dark black

and that will do it hopefully that helps...thanks!

Melanochrmis chipokae perhaps??? hard to tell exactly with the blurr, try searching the name and see if you come up with a match

no i dont think so....

could the blue one be a Blue Zebra he is the right color blue..but only has 2 yellow dots and no lines

OK you've got

Pseudotropheus Saulosi female (yellow with feint stripes)
Maylandia Crabro female( yellow with brown vertical stripes)
Maylandia Callainos male (blue)
Melanochromis Auratus probably female (yellow with black/brown horizontal stripes)

lol thanks for the help guys...and mamafish u made me laugh and woke me up this morning...but ferris u got them all there the exat fish...and one more question guys....

at what age does Melanochromis Auratus change to black if it is male...cause i heard juvies are the same color as the female then change color..is this true...and if so at what age?
