Help Picking New Fish

I've only really ever kept tetras and gouramis. so for the new addition to my tank i was thinking about getting 7 diamond tetras, but if you guys have any suggestions that would go good with my current fish it would be awesome. my current fish are 8 serpae tetras 6 black skirt tetras 2 gold dojo loaches and 1 pink kissing gourami. ideas are greatly appreciated.

It's all about what you like. They're quite a few small shoaling fish that can be kept together that it's simply a case of what you think looks nice. Nothing with long fins, though - those serpaes are nasty little buggers, from what I've heard (never kept them myself - the reputation preceded them!).

yeah i know it's personal preference, but what i am looking for is a fish that maybe i haven't considered. i'm just looking for ideas that i can research and weed through. not that i care much for the 1" rule but i am looking for about 14" of fish to stock. maybe that will help with the suggestions.
