Hello

I have a few small planted tanks which I am breaking down and moving into one larger 4ft tank (although it is long it is also thin so only carries around 170 ltr).

I want it to be planted but as I am joining the army and will be in basic training for quite a while and off and around after that (all being well) I need it to be low maintenance so that my partner can do basics like water changes etc.

My question - I am going to buy one of those quite inexpensive Hagen Glo Luminaire things but for a low tech tank that will be dosed with tpn+ and some liquid co2 which of the following would be best?

I want to get enough light to grow some nice plants but not too much light as I wont be adding co2 other than liquid easycarbo:

Linear Double Light System Glo T5 39w
Linear Double Light System Glo T5 24w
Linear Double Light System Glo T5 54w
Linear Single Light System Glo T5 39w
Linear Single Light System Glo T5 54w

Any help/ideas? I have found a single light t5 54w very cheap but dont know if the single bulb will provide me with enough light?

Cheers

Not low tech anymore if carbon addition is used ;)

I'd go for the single 54W. Will give better light coverage but it's not too much light.
You should be able to grow anything you want.
