Help On Which Plants I Can Keep

Im seting up my new tank this week and want to add some plants. In my experience plants dont last very long in my tanks. My new tank is 109cm x 44cm x 50cm and has twin T8 lights and a sand substrate. i want so lo level plats to put round rocks and pieces if bog wood and some tall growing plats to go at the back of the tank.

Can anybody help as i dont really want to be spending loads on expensive equipment.

Whats your lighting wattage and the volume of your tank?
