Help On The Temp Of The Tank

i have just set up my tank i have 2 plecs and 5 platy the heater is set on 24 but the temp of the water is on 270c is that too high can any one help

That might be a little high for those guys, havent checked. Just set the heater slightly lower

Common plec can related to more than one species but http/www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/speci...p?species_id=88 is likely. This one says 21 to 26 so I would turn down the heater a little. What size is the tank? Commons can get this big http/www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/image.php?image_id=5975

I find with heaters that they are about 3 degrees warmer than the temp. written on the bar.
